Air Fryer Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers

These air fryer spinach feta turkey burgers are the perfect addition to any BBQ or gathering. Furthermore they are healthy and low in carbohydrates so I love to make them wrapped in lettuce when doing keto dieting. The feta, spinach, and seasoning really make this recipe for turkey burgers pop with flavor

Although you could easily use the grill or oven, I especially love using my air fryer to make this recipe for turkey burgers. That’s because these handy appliances mimic the results of deep frying with only hot air and a fraction of the oil. Air Fryers are kind of like a compact amped-up countertop convection oven.

Spinach feta turkey burgers are healthy and delicious using only fresh ingredients. Those ingredients include 1 pound ground turkey meat, 1/4 cup orange juice, and 3 tbsp soy sauce. Also 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp ground mustard, and 2 cups chopped spinach.

This recipe for turkey burgers also requires 1/2 cup finely chopped white onions, 3/4 cup crumbled feta, and 1 large egg. I like to squeeze 1 or 2 large seedless oranges for the marinade however carton juice works fine.

Another thing I love about this air fryer dish is that it’s so simple to make. Start by combing the ground turkey meat, egg, sauces, and seasoning in a large bowl. I always just use my hands to mash the ingredients together. It also helps the flavor to allow the meat to marinate for 30 minutes or more before cooking.

Another tip for these air fryer turkey burgers is to chop up your spinach into small pieces and remove the little stems. Next just add the feta and chopped spinach to the turkey and mash up again. Manually mold 6 to 8 patties out of the meat mixture.

The best temperature to cook your air fryer patties at is 350F / 180C, also it’s super helpful to spray the air fryer basket with non stick cooking spray. If you choose to make 8 spinach feta turkey burgers, cook them for 10 minutes on each side. Lastly, if you choose to make 6 turkey burger patties for your recipe, cook them for 12 minutes on each side.

Be careful flipping the patties because the basket will be very hot!

Air Fryer Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers

These creative patties are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside! They are super delicious with a taste of savory feta and green spinach.

  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup crumbled feta
  • ½ cup finely chopped white onions
  • 2 cups chopped spinach
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp ground mustard powder
  • 6 to 8 burger buns (or whole wheat toast)
  1. In a large mixing bowl combine the turkey, egg, onions, orange juice, soy sauce, and seasoning

  2. Use your hands or a potato masher to mix and fold all the ingredients until they are thoroughly combined

  3. *Optional* allow the turkey meat to marinate for 30 minutes or more

  4. In the meantime, chop the spinach up into small pieces. Make sure to remove all the tiny stems because they can poke out of the patties

  5. Then add the chopped spinach and feta cheese into the seasoned turkey mixture and mix/fold/mash until they are also thoroughly combined throughout the meat

  6. Manually mold the meat into 6 to 8 patties

  7. Spray the air fryer basket with non stick cooking spray

  8. Preheat to 350F / 180C

  9. Cook 3-4 patties at a time (depending on the size of your air fryer)

  10. For 8 burger patties, cook them for 10 minutes, flip them over, cook for another 10 minutes (20 minutes in total)

  11. For 6 burger patties, cook them for 12 minutes, flip them over, and cook for another 12 minutes (24 minutes in total)

I absolutely adored these burgers with honey mustard and a dollop of mayo!
